Curios Cat Says Would You Rather?

Every Friday I will post a Would You Rather? that is to do with nature. Each Would You Rather? every week will have the option I would chose and some nature facts!

Today's would you rather is:

Would you rather live 100 years like a tortoise or live for a day like a mayfly?

Now really think about this one. You may just hop into your opinion straight away, think about both sides of the Would You Rather? Have some time to stop and think.

Both sides

There are two obvious sides to this Would You Rather?: live 100 years like a tortoise or live a day like a mayfly. Now lets look at both sides (the good things and bad things about each choice):

Let's start with the mayfly. You may think living for a day is nothing compared to living as long as 100 years and yes you are correct but that does not mean that the mayfly isn't a good option. Think about how much a mayfly gets done. They get about as much done as you would in 100 years. The mayfly has an impressive life just a short one.

A tortiose on the other hand has a long life! You may be the kind of person who loves a long life so this would be the option. Tortoises are one of the slower creatures but gets lots done as they have a long life but do consider that would it be the right length for your life or perhaps to long?

What I think

My choice is the mayfly because it gets lots done in its life and if you lived only that long 1) it would motivate you to get things done and 2) it would't feel so short if that was how long you were made to live.
