This blog post is going to be bursting with creative ideas to reuse and recycle the things you no longer need. There are tasty treats, crafty activities and simple ways of helping you to reuse and recycle your waste! So lets get into the top 10 ways of reusing and recycling:
Number 1: Recycle
This is the easiest thing to do for the enviroment. When you have a piece of paper, cardboard or any other recyclable material the first thing you are most likely to see is the waste bin that goes straight to landfill which is strongly harming the planet. It takes up alot of habitat space and animals can eat it by accident. So instead of it going to landfill it can be reused. Try to put it in the recycling bin as it is alot better and nicer for the enviroment. If you don't know what you can recycle and what you can't in your area you can look it up online or ask somebody who knows.

Number 2: Make Banana Bread
Making banana bread is really fun and an awesome way to help the planet. When a banana gets very brown and too ripe and squishy you can make banana bread! It uses up all your over ripe bananas and the recipes can be adjusted to fit food requirements such as allergies. It is a really tasty way to use up the bananas as it does not have a squishy or slimy texture. If you want to make an awesome banana bread check out the recipe that I use on the resources page!

Number 3: Make A Patchwork blanket
If you love to sew like me you will understand that a lot of fabric is trimmed off and wasted but I have something you can create to stop the waste ... a patchwork blanket! If you have big enough fabric scraps you can make little fabric squares (but not too small) and stitch them together, use lots of different fabric scraps to create pretty patterns. Depending on the thickness of the blanket you can use this in Summer and Winter and it is a perfect way of using up your fabric.

Number 4: Make Pancakes
You can easily make pancakes anytime! They are lovely to have with: sugar, lemon, strawberries, rasberries, blueberries, maple syrup, pears and banana! If you have a little bit of flour but not enough to make anything you could make a small pancake for breakfast to use up your over ripe fruit that would otherwise go in the bin!

Number 5: Make A Plastic Bottle Bird Feeder
If you have an emty plastic bottle you can try making a bird feeder! Screw the bottle lid on and cut a square hole in the bottle's front. Glue a stick or lolly stick to the bottom of the hole then fill the bottle with seeds. Stick a peice of twine or thread onto the bottle lid to hang it on a tree! Visit it every day for birdwatching and fill it up to attract more birds.

Number 6: Give Away
When you have finished using something and you don't want or need it anymore instead of throwing it out try to give it to charity, sell it on Vinted or Ebay or even give it to a friend or family member who will enjoy it. This is a good way of reusing things. You can also buy things from second hand shops and charity shops instead of buying things new. This is an awesome way of saving the environment so you don't have to throw things away or buy things new unless you have to.

Number 7: Mend
Mending things is important because if you don't mend things then you might have to throw them away. If you break something you can easily buy some super glue to fix it. You can also put stylish patches on clothes, sew the clothes back together and sew buttons back on. If you are not sure how to sew you can go to a local sewing class if you have one or watch videos online to help you.

Number 8: How To Use Up All The Paint
Lots of people don't use all the paint in the tube well you can easily cut the tube in half to create a little paint pot with lots of paint in. Use a brush to scoop out the paint and then use it on a creation. Try to use up all of the paint so it doesn't go to waste. After you have finished using the paint wash out the paint tube then put it in the bin.

Number 9: Plastic Bag Crafts
If you break a plastic bag you can keep it! The plastic from the bag can be good vegetable and fruit wrappers if you need it. You can also use them for lots of crafts online as well. Overall try not to buy plastic bags but if you do look around the internet to see what you might be able to craft with them.

Number 10: Think
We can save the world just by thinking about what we need to buy and what we don't. Whether we can buy something second hand or not. Maybe you can create something cool out of what you might put in the bin. These are things you can think about that could save the world if these thoughts affect your actions!
Thank you for reading hope this gave you ideas!
