I found lots of amazing insects and inspiring plants on my walk through Wellesley Woodland. I would recommend it to anyone who likes a nice nature walk!

Today in Wellesley Woodland I saw this beautiful Welsh poppy. I think the gold colour on it is a sign of good luck and happiness but also wealth and greed. So when I saw this I thought about how we should treasure what we have. The Welsh poppy brightened my day and filled me with joy but also reminded me I should not take more than I need.

Wellesley Woodland was packed with ferns and bracken it was lovely to see the insects dance around the fern leaves and bathe in the sun. The woodland was also bursting with trees and vegetation. It was delightful to see all of the wildlife and plants that had nestled into the undergrowth and called it their home. I saw oak trees, Scots pines and sycamore trees (these trees that are listed are included in the Find Trees With Me II on the videos page).
I saw a lot of damsleflies flying around on my walk, one of which flew right into my face. I didn't mind though as damsleflies are glorious insects that dance around the canal at Wellesley Woodland in the most beautiful way. I think damselflies shouldn't be underrated because they are beautiful, peaceful, calm and quiet, and we just do not take them seriously. This is why people need to help conservation workers peserve the world and the balance between animals, insects and humans (if you would like to help out go to the resources page or the bottom of this post to donate to some of the best wildlife charities). We also need to help this problem in our own ways. If you want you can comment on this post with ideas on how we can help the planet or charities you have donated to!
Thank you for reading, hope there are things to think about and a nice walk you can go on in the future!
